Griffin Larson, Editor-in-Chief; Opinions & Visuals Editor
Heading into his fourth year both at the Southerner and South, Editor-in-Chief Griffin Larson is “daunted but excited” for the year to come. Over his past four years with the Southerner, Larson has become a sponge of journalistic knowledge, soaking in all the dos and don’ts, and feels prepared to take on this big task in front of him. Outside of school, Larson is a lover of photography and swimming, which both play a role in his daily life. After swimming for most of his life, Larson now teaches swim lessons and coaches swim team, and appreciates having a full-circle moment with something he enjoys so much. Through photography, Larson taps into his creativity, capturing moments in his life, whether it be on trips to New York and Mexico or around the city. After South, Larson hopes to go to college to study politics or business, applying his passions to a career, though he may not know what career quite yet. While he may hold uncertainty about the year to come, Larson’s accomplishments both inside and outside of the Southerner prove he is ready, willing, and able to take on the task.
