The girl’s Varsity Volleyball team played their rival, Southwest, on thursday the 20th, putting up a fight until the last point was scored. Each point was met with cheers and applause from the South Volleyball team.

The first set was lost. However, the second set was close- each team countering a point scored with another point, keeping the score tied up until the last couple points, ending in 20-25, Southwest.

The third set, South’s final chance to turn the game around, started off well, with South leading until Southwest pulled ahead. They went on to win the third and final match, with a score of 16-25. Frances Matejcek, Arts and Entertainment Editor
Hello! I am Frances Matejcek and I am a senior at South. I hold the titles of both Arts and Entertainment Editor and Social Media Editor on the Southerner. When I'm not frantically updating the Southerner Facebook page at 1 a.m for your enjoyment, I can be found in the theater, rehearsing for whatever play I'm currently in. Most of my free time is spent on homework and college applications. I enjoy spending the few moments I do have free with my friends, wandering around Minneapolis and going on adventures.
