3/28/14 Retirement of Joe Kingbird

Today was the last day at South for All Nations coordinator Joe Kingbird. He has decided to retire after working with the All Nations program for many years. He has built many strong relationships with students, parents and staff, and is highly respected amongst them. A celebration in his honor was held during 3rd hour in his classroom. Students and staff smudged, shared memories theyve had with Kingbird, and enjoyed cake. Afterwards, a song was played by the All Nations drum group (pictured: Sophomores Zack Henry, Jordan Gurneau and freshman Brian Tenbear) along with Reserve Ojibwe teacher Randy Gresczyk and Upward Bound Vision Quest Academic Advisor Niizh Wahpepah. Kingbird will be honored at the All Nations powwow held at the YWCA on May 2nd, 2014.
