Khayaal Desai-Hunt is enjoying their 4th year in newspaper as the new Editor-in-Chief. In the past they have had their article cited in The Guardian and in a federal report on student surveillance by Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey. They are looking forward to helping staff writers and making the Southerner the best it can be. In their free time they like to spend time with friends, pet neighborhood cats, and explore local parks.

During these times art is giving people some hope and bonding them. This is just one of many art trends that have sprung up all over the country. People can draw support from the art in their neighborhood.
