World’s Largest Scavenger Hunt comes to South

Wearing spaghetti is not something most people will experience in their lifetime, but junior Vincent Chadwick recently did. The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen (GISHWHES) is an annual event organized online that holds the Guinness World Record for largest scavenger hunt. It is hosted by actor Misha Collins, and benefits his charity Random Acts. It’s not a traditional scavenger hunt with a list of things to find, but instead challenges people to create art or do acts of kindness.

Vincent Chadwick, a junior, took part in the hunt this year. His team, made up of members from across the  received an honorable mention. Once task he described was “taking a picture of you in a woven spaghetti hunting jacket holding a spaghetti rifle.”

Chadwick described the entire event by saying “It was madness,” and also mentioned that he’s excited to get his mystery prize.
