Inslee has been the Governor of Washington since 2013. Inslee’s biggest priority in his campaign is defeating climate change. His aggressive strategies to defeat climate change include increased usage of clean energy and eliminating dependency on fossil fuels; all through support of the Green New Deal. Inslee has a long track record of advocating for the environment. He has written a book on climate action called Apollo’s Fire. Inslee supports legalizing marijuana, universal healthcare, and raising the minimum wage. Inslee has been criticized for his close association with a Climate focused super PAC.
