New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand
Kirsten Gillibrand, U.S Senator for New York
Age 52
Gillibrand has been a Senator since 2009 and served in the House from 2007-2009. She is seen as a more Progressive candidate who has centered her message around supporting higher education, and reforming protections against sexual assault in the military and on college campuses. Gillibrand supports the Green New Deal, Medicare-For-All, and economic reform by overturning Citizens United. Her interests also involve expanding public childcare services. In the past, Gillibrand has been criticized for her stances on pro-gun control and what some say are opportunistic tendencies.
