Castro is the only announced candidate from the Obama Administration, and is considered to be a Progressive voice among the candidates. He pledges to visit all 50 states to speak on the proponent of rejoining the Paris Accord, Medicare-For-All, and free two year college. Castro has also taken a strong stance by opting to ban assault rifles in the country. Some of his actions as the Housing and Urban Development secretary have been criticized for forming a controversial mortgage program.
