The Southerner

Erika Peterson
Erika Peterson is the Arts and Entertainment editor for The Southerner, and she is very passionate about social change and history. She enjoys being a part of the Southerner staff because she enjoys being a part of the creation of the newspaper. She’s okay with the additional work that comes with being an editor because she likes to see different parts of the school and is passionate about quality journalism. Especially because not a lot of schools have a newspaper class so she is given a unique opportunity. She hopes to one day take her passion for journalism into a career as an investigative journalist or go a different route and work in international diplomacy.
