My name is Maeve, and I am a staff writer at the Southerner. My favorite part about writing newspaper is being around really fun and creative people (plus I like writing). I like to sleep and paint when Im not in school and one interesting fact about me is that I like to yell at people in French.

South Highs Health 2 Class has recently ditributed Reality Babies as a way to make up for the 6 or more days that students have missed. Reality Babies provide a glimpse of what parenthood would be like and are incredibly realistic mimicking the same actions as a human baby. Students have to bring them to school, activities and even take care of them in the night. Junior Robel Tedros works on his math worksheet as his Reality Baby sits by his side.

Due to the snow this moring, all South High spring sports meets and practices were cancelled today. Some students believe that the decision to cancel was made too soon because the snow had melted by 6th hour.

Students taking online gym now wear digital wristbands that track the amount of steps they take daily. Students then plug them into a computer where they can send their steps onto the moodle site.
