Umoja held an auditorium on Thursday, February 26. Junior Beth Luvsia shared why she believed this auditorium was important: “It is important right now because of what happened in Ferguson. It’s important to know we, the African American community, are more than just criminals.”

The show was put on by 30 Umoja participants. They have been working on the show for the past month and stayed everyday after school last week to prepare. The show was directed by Dennis W. Spears.
