Students crowd the stairwell after second lunch, pushing their way through to reach their classes. Previously students would use the larger, main stairs to get to class, but this school year it was designated a “down only” area, pushing students into the enclosed and usually locked stairs at either end of the commons. “You know what crowds spread? Public dissent,” junior Ethan Schrag joked while making his way through the jam.
